A Beautiful Storybook Wedding: Fiona and Malik's Dream Day

Looking back at Fiona and Malik’s wedding day, I can’t help but smile at how perfect it all turned out. From the sweet moments getting ready at the Kendall Inn in Boerne, Texas, to the stunning ceremony at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Little Flower, and finally, the reception back at the Kendall Inn, it was a day that truly felt like it belonged in a fairytale. And Fiona and Malik? They are the kind of couple who could have stepped right out of a storybook.

Engagement Session

Lets start, with a tiny look back at Fiona and Maliks engagement session at the Basilica

Getting Ready at the Kendall Inn

The day started at the charming Kendall Inn, tucked in the heart of Boerne. This place is a hidden gem—full of character and warmth, with cozy rooms and a welcoming vibe that set the perfect tone for Fiona and her bridal party. The morning was filled with laughter, excited chatter, and a quite a few happy tears as Fiona while reading her vows. This included tears from myself as Fiona read her vows allowed for videography to capture the moment. She was absolutely glowing, and you could see the excitement in her eyes as she prepared to marry the love of her life.

Malik wasn’t far behind, getting ready at the same location with his groomsmen. It was clear how close-knit this group was, and the vibe was so relaxed and fun. There were high-fives, jokes, and moments of calm before the big moment, but you could tell that everyone was just as excited to see Fiona walk down the aisle.

For Fiona, there were a few sweet first looks. First with her beautiful bridesmaids- One of which is a very dear childhood friend of mine. And two other first looks with both her Father and Brother. As our timeline started to get tight before heading to the ceremony site in San Antonio, we kept the first looks close and did it right outside the brides getting ready suite in the courtyard.

The Ceremony at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Little Flower

The ceremony at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Little Flower was nothing short of breathtaking. The church’s grand architecture, with its stunning Spanish Revival design, was the perfect backdrop for their vows. The moment Fiona walked down the aisle, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. The way Malik’s eyes lit up as he saw her for the first time that day? It was priceless. They exchanged vows with so much love and sincerity, and the atmosphere was filled with so much joy and emotion.

It felt like a truly sacred space, and every moment in that church was so beautiful—whether it was their first kiss as a married couple or the quiet moments they shared as they were officially pronounced husband and wife. I’ll never forget how their love filled that room, and the joy was almost tangible.

Reception Back at the Kendall Inn

After the ceremony, we headed back to the Kendall Inn for the reception, where the celebration continued. The venue, with its charming rustic charm and cozy feel, was the perfect place to keep the magic going. The night was filled with laughter, dancing, and heartfelt toasts. Fiona and Malik shared their first dance as a married couple, and it was one of those moments where time seemed to stand still. You could see how completely in love they were, surrounded by friends and family who were all there to celebrate this beautiful new chapter in their lives.

The whole day was a reflection of who Fiona and Malik are as a couple—sweet, kind, and full of love for each other and the people around them. I felt so honored to be part of their day, capturing not just the big moments, but also all the little ones—the smiles, the quiet glances, the hugs, and the laughter that filled every corner of the day.
